Why Discriminate Against Religious After School Clubs?

There seems to always be some sort of disagreement about afterschool clubs in certain school districts around the country. The club or gathering that is always, or seems to be under fire, is any club that has “Christian” or “Bible” in it’s name. I dont understand why because having an afterschool cluv on school grounds does not violate the spearation clause: no one’s out proselytizing to anyone else, just a group of kids wanting to share between each other, I see nothing wrong in that as long as they meet all the other requirements any other after school club would have to meet. One group we never hear about are atheist kids. I wonder if there are after school groups that get together. I think it would be tough for teenagers because I know some adults that won’t come out as atheist at work. Imagine being in high school.
