I’ve written about those meat replacement products we’re seeing more and more of on our grocery shelves the days and I’ve even tried veggie burgers. My take on them were they weren’t bad and if you didn’t know it wasn’t meat, you might be fooled. Might. The other side of this is that there are competing studies on whether or not these products are healthier than meat. There are some recent studies that affirm the health benefits and that may be enough for most people. Then there’s the cost: It’s still around twice as expensive than, for instance, ground beef. Here’s a pretty good side-by-side for those that may be looking to move toward meatless meat. It’s always good to become informed before taking a leap into anything.
