It seems that an extinct volcano has contaminated the country’s largest CO2 reserve resulting in shortages for, you guessed it, the beer industry. According to the article, beer prices could quadruple in a short period of time. With everything else that’s gone on in the last two years, this could be the tipping point for the upcoming election. Imagine having a party to watch the returns and discovering that buying the beer will mean you won’t be able to pay for food for the next week. Or two. Outrageous?
