Being an “Anti” Voter Does Nothing For The Country

As the election draws closer, the murmuring, the whispers, as to who will win have become more prevalent. Unlike the media, or activists, most of us keep our opinions on that matter to ourselves. We don’t believe in the polls at all (remember 2016?) so, we’re going to do our part (vote) and wait for the outcome. But conversations between friends and colleagues do occur. Personally, I am interested in who someone is going to vote for (or has already voted for), not for any other reason that it tells me something about that person I probably was unaware of initially.

Is Big Tech Attempting to Influence This Election?

Congress add an exemption to the Communications Decency Act of 1996 for “Big Tech” companies that as long as they acted only as a platform, and not a publisher (like a newspaper or a news network) then they would be exempt from being held responsible for anything that appeared on their platform meaning, they couldn’t be sued for something an individual posted. How times have changed. Now it seems that these platforms, including Facebook and Twitter have all but admitted they are in fact publishers because they decide what information, by a user, may or may not be dissemenated on their platforms.
