Facing Facts

A question I’ve had recently is is the U.S. is looking for a direct conflict with Russia over Ukraine. We just saw our President, declare without any hesitation, that the U.S. would be with Ukraine…until the end. That end, in President Biden’s mind is the destruction of the greater Russian Army, which seems to be going on apace in Ukraine, along with the slow, agonizing, decimation of the “Ukrainian Patriots”. Let’s just say what the hawks in our government, on both sides of the aisle won’t say, by the way. There are no good guys in this conflict.

The U’s. as just agreed to send thousands of cluster bombs to help Ukraine eliminate Rumania ground forces. I'[ve seem these inaction. The outcome of c cluster bomb attack is terrible, not to mention, they’re not “smart” bombs. They blow up where they land and can cause a huge amount of damage and casualties. Yes, civilians. It’s why these are banned by international treaty. Apparently, we in the U.S. are not part of any of these treaties banning these awful weapons of mass destruction.
The U.S. claims that Russia has already been using these against civilian populations therefore…I guess it’s okay for any kind of tit-for-tat up to and including a nuclear response? How crazy is this?

I heard a pundit on a news show the other day say that this is exact;ly what the Biden administration wanted: a direct conflict with Russia leading up to the 2024 election. What? Talk about crazy! But we’ve seen stranger things in politics. We invaded Iraq in 2003 because there were various intelligence agencies claiming that Iraq had WMD in place, ready to use. Never mind that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Someone wanted a war and by-god, they were going to get one from these evil Iraqi’s. Forty-Three was going to do what Forty-One was prevented from doing: ending Saddam Hussien as a threat to his neighbors. Saddam though had been in a longtime fight with his Muslim neighbor, Iran. All we had to do is sit back and watch both of these adversaries of ours, kill each other off. But no, we can’t actually stand peace for too long.

It’s time for citizens around the world to become a bit more skeptical of their government’s motives in anything they do. Especially war. What’s next? When will Biden send special op’s into Ukraine, if he hasn’t already?

As the U.S. election approaches, this is an issue that needs to be ever present in our minds. Just what will this president sacrifice to secure a second term? Which of our other elected officials support a direct conflict against Russia. Then there’s China and Taiwan…

Who will be our allies against Russia? Are England and France willing to sacrifice blood and treasure on a conflict they wanted nothing to do with in the beginning? The U.S. forces their minimal participation just so we could stay, that Europe was behind Ukraine and against Russia. When it comes down to a face-to-face, will they be there? Biden has waited our preeminence around the world and we are now viewed as not only weak, but corrupt. When China advances upon Taiwan, and they will sooner than later, who will be there?

It won’t be the U.S.
