Every time I see or her a report concerning “Climate Change”, I wonder if the people discussing it really know the difference bete=ween weather and climate? Weather is a temporary effect (although it does’t always owl that way) and climate concerns the long term, over hundreds or even thousands of years. It’s really funny to me how we can look at dats that is only 60 years old (maybe a little older, but not by much) and predict what is going on with long term temperatures.
What happens when there are one or two years that don’t fit the pattern? Of course those are anomalies. No, that’s weather. What we’re seeing this summer in the long lasting trip[le digit test in some areas is just that: weather. Will we see that even summer from now on?
Remember after hurricane Katrina, the same people that claim we’re in s climate crisis and we have to do something now or we’re all doomed said in 2005 to expect many more of the super storms like Kstrins and to expect them every hurricane season. Nope. There are years when there are more and years less. Remember 2017. It was like. one-two punch of hurricanes hitting the U.S. “Climate Change”. Since then? Not so much.
In. 2011 there were these high temperatures accompanied by a lack of rain. One more time for the chorus: Climate Change. Since then? It’s called looking at the evidence and the evidence, at best, is spotty. We may disagree about it, in fact, I know there’ll be several that see the and say either a) I have no idea what I’m talking about, or b) most climatologists disagree. My response?
Look at the evidence without any bias one way or the other. Look at the actual recorded temperatures. Also, look where and how these temperatures are recorded ( another post on that one). “Most climatologists disagree” is only true when you only speak with those that agree with your position. Yes, climate change is disputed among climatologists. We’re not discussing creationism, that which goes back only s short time. If that were so, how have we seen climate change over millions of years – before humans? Dinosaur gas? OR did those creatures kill themselves off by driving Dino-SUV’s?
