I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve blogged. Sure. “Life happens” but to what extent does someone ignore a favorite pastime? For what? There’s a lot that’s been going on in the world since I left these [ages, and I want to comment on those that interest me the most.

Here., we have a copletely broken government with neither side able to look at the people that elected them in the first place, and tell them they are, in fact working for us. Seriously? What’s broken? The faction that wants to send billions to Ukraine and Israel versus those that want to spend a heck of a lot less, just securing our nation’s border.

Dear Congress: Protect the citizens of the United States before you toy with the idea of World War Three (Urkraine) or the Apocalypse (Israel).

It might not be a bad idea for we voters to vet those we vote for (or against) before we are in the voting booth. Voting “Republican” doesn’t mean anything as well as anyone on the Democratic ticket. Instead of having them manipulate our reason and feelings, how about we take it back, and manipulate the heck out of them? For once.

We need to take our city council, county supervisors, school boards, back from the edge of the cliff we’ve allowed them to reside and make sure that at the local level it is we who are in charge. Once that’s accomplished, it’s easy to take on state and federal legislators.

“The Government” should be afraid of the governed, not vice-versa. All it takes is the time to cast a ballot for what you really believe and not be told by these same people what it is you need to believe.
