Whistling Past the Graveyard

A friend was complaing today about the condition of health care in this country. Seriously? I thought as I recalled how happy this persn was when “ObamaCare” was signed into law. This was going to end expensive health care and ensure that everyone that wants healthcare, receives it. Of course none of the promises made were true as the public quickly discovered after the three year delay in rolling out the program proved to be too much for the bureaucrats that would have trouble walking and chewing gum simultaneously.

Say what? I thought as the friend proceeded on to tell me that there was no affordable insurance policies, other than Medicaid, which only covers basic medical care. this is what happens when you allow the government to attempt to run one-sixth of the economy. Or anything for that matter. Can nyone think of anything that’s government run that is run well? Really, let me know because i csn’t think of a single department or agency I believe huld be refunded (ye, even Defence, that cannot account for billions of dollars in it’s budget but no one seems to really care. Imagine you losing track of a large portion of your income every month. Do you think your spouse would have anything to say?

We’re just taxpayers though , but it’s still amazing to me how few people are even the slightest bit disturbed over how those we elect take care of our money. There was a time in this country when we would’ve strung up the theives. Today we can’t be bothered with the thieves we elect and those that appoint other thieves to agencies that continue to suck on The Great American Teat.

I always thought a majority of Americans would eventually, as I did, become ngry with our over-pampered employees in Washington and begin to fire them. All of them. No, the better the liar, th most likely that person is to survive anything. Menendez of New Jersey? This is his second time being tried for, wait on it, corruption. Seems it was fine with his constituency the first time around and that says a lot about us, doesn’t it?

It’s like we, the constituency, are caring for a mentally chalenged child hoping that one day, thsat child will become a responsible adult. How long to we have to wait? have we even had this child’s IQ mesured? Wht would it show?

Moron. But then, what are we?

  1. Jim, I totally agree. that old saying ” no bread!! Give them cake”, holds true to this day. Just replace the “cake” with sport and sex, that will keep the masses happy.

Don’t blame governments, blame the appathey of the electorate.
