I’ve always been a strong advocate of science and the Scientific Method in resolving some of the most basic questions concerning not only us, but the world and universe in which we reside. Even as a believer, I had a difficulty accepting some of what Christianity taught. Just go through the bible, old and new testaments, and look at all of the supernatural events that take place. Then ask yourself why these types of interactions with “god” no longer seem to happen anymore. Of course, some will claim they still do, but never are able to provide proof of any kind. When those representing science in industry and government start becoming as trustworthy, making magical claims like a religion or cult, then the public needs to take a hard look at those claiming to represent “science”.

We don’t have to look very far back in history, just a few years ago during the “pandemic”. The panic, from government mainly, but where those seeking government approval (and money of course) all chimed in together about the dangers and closed down society for weeks (months in some states). The covid emergency changed people’s view about science and trust declined some according to polls. That trust is slowly recovering because most people didn’t view the covid debacle on science, but on those within the government that claimed to represent scientific knowledge that they clearly didn’t have. Think about it.

The six foot separation rule, the wearing of masks, all of which some scientists spoke out against, and were silenced by the government and their media monkeys. Were exactly was the science in all of this? No one could explain. Tell me how a guy out surfing inn Southern California, by himself, was a danger to society (police arrested him). How about couples walking outside together and being threatened by authorities that they were too close together and/or not wearing masks. Spouses that lived together. Really? Recall seeing people driing down the road, alone in their car, masked? Science?

PEople clung to these beliefs like some sort of religious cult and those of us that didn’t agree? Those that refused to comply with stupidity? Cancelled. Or attempts were made. All the people that lost their jobs because they refused the jab because there was no proof that it prevented getting covid or passing it on to another person. We now know all of what we were told as being disinformation was in fact true. It was government and their science minions that lied to the public for months (years). They’re still trying to lie about covid.

So, it makes sense that there are people who have become skeptical of “science” and question now more than ever whatever someone from the government or a representative tells them. That’s a good outcome overall. It’s where we should have been in 2020. Hopefully, we’ll remain skeptical and keep asking questions. As we’ve learned, it’s for our own good.
