Who would’ve believed it? The Great Dan Bongino, former Deputy Director of the FBI, Podcaster Extraordinaire, is crashing in the ratings just 3 weeks into his much anticipated (by whom?) return to the Intert-wave. He’s recenty had a thirty minute appearance by his old boss, Kash Patel to discuss all the great things the FBI has accomplished in the last year, ut even that didn’t help his ratings, as he probably thought Patel would.

Since he announced his “much anticipated”(did anyone actually say that?) return to the Inter-waves, he has been taking a lot of flak from people who have been, well, disappointed in his micro-tenure at the FBI. Yes, the FBI has made a lot of criminsl cases but there’s at least one a lot of conservatives thought would be made in a short time, with accompanied perp walks that has yet to happen and in reality, probably never will happen (we can keep our fingers crossed).

Bongino has been acting like a brat to his audience since then.and from what can be seen in his daily listening audience, people don’t want to hear it and I think more than ever, have lost trust in him. Is it his fault? Partially. Did he really believe he was going to go into the second most powerful position in the FBI and turn that behemoth of a bureaucracy around on a dime? Exactly what were his qualifications for such a posting? He was an NYPD beat cop, and then a Secret Service agent before leaving to take his chance in electoral politics, which he lost. Twice. Of course, Patel doesn’t have any real law enforcement experience, but at least he’s a lawyer and former federal prosecutor which places him closer to the justice system than his former deputy.

Sure, it’s only been a few weeks but there’s been TV shows that have been cancelled sooner with stats like these. It’s all about dollars. If your audience is declining this fast, it’s going to be tough to get those advertising dollars to support this show and those dollars will become smaller as goes the audience. Maybe he can have a turn around and attract some new viewers – there have been conservative hosts that have done this before. They turned left.
