Removing God From Government

Personally, I’d like to see any and all references to God removed from our money, our pledge, and all government buildings. It’s never going to happen, at least in my lifetime, and as an atheist, I think our time is better spent on the real governmental abuses of the Establishment Clause than these perceived infractions.

Christians Demand Special Privilege

I am constantly amazed how Christians refuse to understand a basic constitutional principle of our republic in that the government is forbidden from endorsing any one religious belief over another. Every time though, the same people want to fight that which has be precedent  in this country  for well  over 100 years.

Is America Founded on Judeo-Christian Values?

It gives me no end of grief to hear people say that my country (the United States) was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. Conservative commentators and pundits say this all the time. If they happen to write in a conservative publication, you’ll find it there as well. But I never hear them defend this proposition. Where does it come from?
