Respecting Belief

The criticism I hear most from believers, as an atheist, is that I do not respect their belief.  I often look quizzically when I hear that because I have never thought it incumbent on anyone to respect someone else’s belief, blindly. Respect, at least to me, is something earned, and for me, it’s something I apply to individuals, not beliefs.

Keeping Religion Out of Daily Life

I don’t care about any one else belief system. Those that are Christian, Muslim, Hindu, or Buddhist (the 4 major religions) are welcome to their beliefs and individual practices. What I have a problem with is when any one of those religions attempt to have their religious beliefs stamped into law, in any country.
