Whatever Happened to Courtesy?

By the way. In case you are under the impression that people care what you think? Guess again, because they don’t. Not even those closest to you. There was a time when the family dinner table was the place where thoughts and ideas may be exchanged. even including the children, but those days are long past and the responsibility for children has migrated to the state and families, if they even have a meal together, rarely discuss anything in fear of some sort of retribution for another member. The same is with those we cll friends, only discussing how. long the gras is getting or work colleagues, never venturing outside the box they’re in, daily. Why? We’ve become so fractured as a society, that the prohibited topics have moved well beyond politics and religion, to anything cultural. It doesn’t matter how insignificant the topic may appear, someone will take offense (or pretend to take offense). No one wants to even try to listen to each other, and we have no one to blame but ourselves. Our leaders are our worst example and many believe, it seems, that this behavior is now normal. It isn’t it’s destructive and we should be doing ll we cn do dissociate ourselves from it. It’s time to bring back courtesy.

Who Owns This House?

It’s not surprising to me to see a hit on my X account for my opinion on the (possible) upcoming war with Iran.People make assumptions that if you’re a conservative, you must follow neocons that are always pumping their fists for war with somebody. I don’t have a great amount of followers (I’m sooo popular!) so it’s easy for me to spot any downturn in followers. Overnight, I lost seven. For my under five hundred. that’s not unsubstantial. But that’s okay because I’d rather be true to myself than to someone or something I just can’t find any reason to believe in or trust.

Just Say No (to War)

The United States is assembling the greatest armada of modern warfare in or near the Persian Gulf. The reason for this, is to attempt to have Iran negotiate honestly with the U.S. on several issues or, suffer the consequences. Depending on who you listen to or read, there are people on both sides of this possible step to a war. I’m concerned more at the politicians in Washington that, when asked about the possibility of some sort of strike on Iran, grin at the possiblity.

Do Zionists Not Fight for America?

From where I sit, on the outside it’s interesting to watch Christians go at it, after one another on the topic of Israel and especially Christian Zionism. Many Christians identify this way because they believe, as they have been taught in their churches, that the foundation of the modern Israel (1948) harkens the beginning of the End Times for the world. The Second Coming of Christ. So they are eager to support whatever government exists in that small strip of land. For Christians ///9most) the ownership of the land is clear: just read the Old Testament scriptures. God gave this land to the Hebrews, the descendants of Abraham, end of story. No debate or argument allowed. Well, except the same scriptures show that there were other people that lived in that land before the now Jewish people and those people were driven away by the ancestors of these same people, according to their own sacred scriptures.
