Well, it appears Le Grande Dame of The Usual Suspects has had a change of heart.
No, she didn’t suddenly become a conservative, or even a skeptic, but it appears she’s okay with a parody Twitter account with a photoshopped avatar of Mick Nugent. So much so, she actually favorited the tweet.
And, of course the parody that was favorited:
If you click on the favorites at the bottom of the parody account tweet, you’ll see who it was that favorited it.
Yes, the very same person that has railed for several years now about being photoshopped by the ‘pitters, has now decided it’s okay to photoshop images of people with whom you may disagree. When I used ‘Rules’ in the title, I was only referring to her own Internet Etiquette Rules.
As we all know though, the slogan for The Usual Suspects has always been, It’s okay when we do it.
Indeed. Though I think the larger point is the question of whether the photoshops are relevant or just malicious – and I think more than a few in the Pit can be put in each category as I’ve suggested in this exchange with EllenBeth Wachs.
So the question to put to Ophelia – if she hasn’t blocked everyone who disagrees with her – is whether all ‘shops are created equal as I’ve argued with Nugent here. And it is the answer to that which will, I think, determine whether she’s being hypocritical in favoriting that tweet.

I’d consider that joint statement a clear win for Ophie and the baboons, but she just tossed it way. They’re in late-stage Jonestown at this point.
