Who Owns This House?

It’s not surprising to me to see a hit on my X account for my opinion on the (possible) upcoming war with IUran.People make assumptions that if you’re a conservative, you must follow neocons that are always pumping their fists for war with somebody. I don’t have a great amount of followers (I’m sooo popular!) so it’s easy for me to spot any downturn in followers. Overnight, I lost seven. For my under five hundred. that’s not unsubstantial. But that’s okay because I’d rather be true to myself than to someone or something I just can’t find any reason to believe in or trust.

The real battle, as I see it, is not between conservatives, but between Christians; Those that believe in the right of Jews to have their own state, and those that find nothing biblically supporting anything like a modern State of Israel. So, it’s like a cage match (whatever those actually are) the Zionists (supporters) versus the anti-Zionists. I see a lot of back and forth (mostly forth) inm y X timeline as well as see podcasts on both sides of the issue. Something I see, mostly on X, is how quickly the Zionists, once their argument can’t be established, engage in ad hominem attacks. I would think people, no matter which side of an argument, woud either surrender the point, or try to gaslight the audience (to be honest, a few Zionists have attempted this tactic), but no, name calling is the choice of the best and brightest of Zionism supporters.

Of course, I’m on the side of the Christians, which is funny for an atheist to say, but it’s true. Aren’t the others Christians as well? Yes, as well as Jews and yes even a Muslim. or two. The Christian Zionists have a different reason for supporting Israel though: it has to do with their End Times belief, the first domino to fall being the establishment of the State of Israel. All this, according to their belief, leads to the Second Coming of Jesus. So, it’s really not about the Jews having a homeland is it?

If you have an opinion, stop for a moment and ask yourself why. Try to think about this issue from a perspective of reason, and not faith. If I came to your house and said you had to leave because “god told me this house was mine, forever”, would you do anything more than laugh at me? If I brought a gun, what would you do?
