Another day, another post on free speech. I’ve been noticing lately how there have been some conservatives desiring some sort of regulation on Big Tech. By that, specifically Facebook and Twitter, possibly Google as well. Is this a good idea? There may be a case for some sort of regulation, but I’m in the camp of no.
So, Scott Pruitt is out at the EPA. Resigned earlier today. My response? Yay! but probably not for the reasons many others are happy. Here’s a guy that was a member of Congress for 8 years as well as the Attorney General of Oklahoma since 2010. He was much despised by the environmental lobby. As EPA Administrator, his charge was to put the EPA back on course, as they were originally chartered by Congress.
So. Another mass shooting in America, this time, in a small town in Oregon at a community college. Along with most if not all of you, I am deeply saddened by this event. I feel for those families of the dead and wounded. What, if anything, are we as a society to do to prevent these shootings from occurring in the future?

It looks like the government wants to try and control speech over the Internet.
I doubt this will go anywhere,but it would be devastating to the Internet if the government were to start policing it. I’m sure there’s a few out there that would applaud this bill becoming law. You know of whom I speak. Of course, the downside is that their speech would fall under the same rule, but then, they’re really not the smartest kids in the class as they think they are.
