Saving Face

As I write this, the ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran that was supposed to end tomorrow, has just been extended by our president, indefinitely because Pakistan, the host for the negotiations, asked for an extension. That’s right, there’s no time limit associated with it and the excuse is that Iran has not made any proposals of their own and the U.S.will give them time to(47 more years, I guess) come up with a response to the U.S. proposals over the kinetic action (not a war) with Iran. This is what’s called saving face.

Letting the Lunatics Take Over

You know there is something desperately wrong in the world when everyone you see online is taking the word of a documented lunatic concerning other online personalities simply because these same people, dislike what is being said by the people. What’s strange is that none of what any have said is anything but the truth: We are in a conflict with Ira because of Israel and Israel told us they were going to attack Iran for their own “final solution” to an acknowledged terrorist state whether we approved it or not. How do I know this is the truth? Our Secretary of State said a much to the entire world, on television, the first day of the adventure.

Get on With It!

In a recent poll, people were asked of they believed the President Trump had a plan for the Iran conflict. In routing numbers, 91% of democrats, 72% of independents and 19% of republicans polled say that they don’t believe in whatever the plan is that Trump has for Iran right now. sO that means that 81% of republicans say yes, right? That’s good, right? Well, sure, but anyone would expect that just like there are 91% of democrats that don’t believe there’s a clear plan for Iran. If I were a staff member in the White House though, I wouldn’t be bragging about this because 72% of independents don’t believe there’s a plan either. In order to make any headway, or even maintain the slim majorities he has now, the president needs a majority of independents, or at least a heck of a lot more than 28% that believe in whatever the plan is for Iran.

Promises Kept?

I usually never make promises to others because I’m always afraid that I’ll fail to keep whatever it is or, even worse, forget I made a promise. So that word in either its noun or verb form, is absent from my lexicon. Of course, jokingly,I might use it with another person, but never would I ask someone to commit a future date with me or vice versa. Oh, I know, someone’s going to say, What about marriage? Well, okay, there’s once when making a future promise is okay, but in that case, it’s both people making the promise, not just one. In the bible, god made promises to the Israelites after Moses led them out of Egypt. He told Moses the land they were to inherit would be flowing with milk and honey (Ex 3:8,17 Deut 26:9, 27:3) with the Deuteronomy passages affirming the promise as they were entering the land. did god ever keep that promise?

It’s Not Good vs Evil

Does not calling someone out for something they say indicate the you support what they say? There’s a saying, silence is consent, but is it? It can be for instance if a person is aware of someone else’s awful behavior, yet said nothing about that person because they believed it really wasn’t their business. Well, we could say that about a lot of things couldn’t we? The parents abusing their own child next door, someone we work with that has harassed other workers and would be fired if discovered, but no one is willing to step up and take responsibility, to finally, a close ally that seeks to commit the most horrible crimes against it’s neighbors and we are all witness to because of the available technology.
