We’re beginning to hear it all over again as the mid-term elections approach. Republicans talking about multiple investigations into the Biden administration/. I’m so tired of “congressional Investigations” simply because they amount to nothing. Ever. sure, a few senators or house members make a splash on television, but while these people are investigating, nothing is really being done for those that actually elected any of them to office. If there has to be an investigation, how about having one where there are actual consequences for the outcome? Wouldn’t it be great if the media held their feet to the fire concerning any investigation rather than cheering on one side or the other? Now that’s actually wishful thinking, isn’t it?
Politics
It’s Now “Escape From New York and California”
The more I watch the news, the more I cannot believe how stupid the voters of states like New York and California are. Really. They both have laws that do not allow for cash bail in crimes, letting most of those arrested by police to walk out the door before the arresting officer has completed the original paperwork. Most of these are violent felons, and a large percentage end up rearrested for other crimes. But that makes no difference to the justice system in either state. Of course, judges have to obey the laws as written but the voters should, at least by now, be outraged enough that they would want a significant change in the current legislatures. When crime is allowed to go unpunished, what else is to be expected? Crime is definitely a reason why people are fleeing both states.
No Secrets, No Codes
When desperate to create or maintain a narrative, some people will believe anything they are told by who they believe are “trusted sources” and will even, if it’s the media, go to print without ever attempting to validate whether or not what they’ve been told is the truth. Take for instance the raid on former president Trump’s residence. The Washington Post wrote that their informed sources (intelligence, etc) told them that Trump had Nuclear secrets there as well as possibly the nuclear codes to launch weapons! Seriously. The Post printed this nonsense when, there had been up until the raid, no hurry for anyone to recover any documents not to mention those launch codes (by the way, those codes change all the time). Consider that for over a year-and-a-half Trump as allowed to possess these “secrets” and even to allow our enemies access to them if he desired, but nothing like that happened and none of the boxes recovered, as far as we know, had the speific markings identifying the contents as classified nuclear documents. This furthers the argument that the raid was purely political, against a possible opponent for president in 2024 and nothing else. Even some in the media are coming to this realization.
The Past is Present

I woke up this morning and realized it was 1977. Or 1978. Anyway, it was the ”Carter Era” ll over again. For those of you thast are either too young yto remember, or weren’t born yet, what you are beginning to see in America’s economy is exactly what we sat during the presidency of Jimmy Carter. I voted for this guy. Why? He came across really smart. He graduated from the U/S/ Naval Academy with a degree in Nuclear Enfineering. After his time in the military, he ran a peanut farm in Georgia, which for me meant he had some business experience, as a small business owner. How could we go wrong?

It’s kind of funny. Well, maybe not actually funny, but when I think about it, I chuckle a little. Have ypu ever heard a joke, maybe a funny scene from a television show or a movie that whenever it comes to mind, o matter where you are, you start laughing out loud and people around you believe you’ve finally gone mad and call an ambulance? Thats what I think about a lot of the propaganda coming out from the government concerning the vaccinated versus the unvaccinated.
