Why do people automatically believe that age indicates wisdom? Does someone 60 know more than someone 30? Maybe, but are they any wiser just due to their age? Not necessarily. What defines wison to most people? Havong survived life through all. of the trials and tribulations that come along. so a person that’s 30 might be as wise as a person 60, simply due to life circumstances. The 60 year old may have grown up without struggle and had help along the way where the 30 year old may have been just the opposite but has become successful in spite of the circumstances of upbringing or even educational opportunities. So really, who us the wiser? Maybe neither but that’s the trap of ascribing wisdom to age – any age. It’s really more specific to the individual, independent of age.
