What Kind of Christian are You?

I had a delivery mde to my home where, since I am a little under the erather right now, I asked the guy to com in and set it n the table fr me. I then thanked him where he replied “you’re welcome”, not an unexpected resomse but then he went on to say, You have a blessed day. I thanked him again and didn’t really consider the encounter unti later whn I wondered why he said that. To me.

A Christian, I thought. And not one of those that pptempts to hide his belief but maybe, possibly, one of the few thst attempt to live what they believe. i may be exagerrating the 30 second encounter into more tht what it wa,s, but i don;t think i was, even a little. I used to be one of those that tried to live wht they believed. I fo0und iqt over time, to not be possible and that those things I thought were true, were not.

I wonder how many that attend Sunday services live their lives the same way on a daily basis? All those people that attend these Mega-Churches: some of which hold 3 services every Sunday consisting of over 10,000 per service. How many of those attendees are there because they really believe or simply to put on a show for others? Of course, the pastors of those churches probably don’t care as all they. hear is the ca-ching of the cash register. The Great Con.

If those pastors believed what they taught, they’d do theor best to emulate the Christians from the Book of Acts instead of living in “pastorates” worth more than their entire congregations collective income. Or how about the one that already has 4 jet aircraft asking his live and television congregation to donate for a fifth? What exactly does Christianity mean to these? Not much as long as the dollars keep flowing.

So I wonder about my delivery guy and what kind of Christian, if he is one, is he? The Book of Acts or the Book of Olsteen?
