So (queue solomn music) the day and time is set for either compliance or compete destruction. For Iran. If you thought I meant Trump, well, no, that’s what’s known, for you, as wishful thinking. By 8pm Eastern time tomorrow, if there’s not a negotiated ceasefire with the demands of the allies (just Israel and the U.S.) like the reopening of the Hormuz Strait, Hell will rein down in Iran, this time on critical infrastructure. What’s the over under the this will actually happen? I don’t know since I have no connection to any gambling concerns, but if I had to place a number on it, I would say less than fifty percent.
I think that Iran will, at the last minute, attempt to convince Trump that there’s a deal in place, with a few small details to work out, expecting Trump to extend the Hell Day a bit further out, but I don’t think that will happen and here’s why.
Trump got into this war to help his, and Republicans numbers for the mid-terms. It isn’t just the Israeli’s that convinced him to attack Iran, but political advisors that told him he’d lose both houses of congress this fall, making his final two years not only unproductive, but problematic as well. How did they convince him? Presidents have always taken a positive bump in the polls when they’ve risked conflict and Trump’s not adverse to looking at his popularity. Then, not being able to advance any more of his agenda through congress making him a real lame duck president (he is anyway since he cannot run again), thus leaving his legacy unfulfilled.
This was supposed to be a short conflict, as it has been, with Regime Change the ultimate goal, Iranian people in the streets, kicking out the Islamists. Guess what? Not a singe protest against the regime anywhere in Iran. Of course, they’re being bombed by Israel and the United States 24×7, and I think I might try to not be in the streets when there are bombers and drones overhead lobbing explosives at buildings all around me. So, n regime change. For now. How many leaders have we killed in the last month? Over the weekend, more IRGC leaders supposedly met at a secret underground facility that the U.S. pounded to hell. More leaders gone. No people in streets. Who are these people Trump’s team is talking to concerning a ceasefire? Are they even in Iran? Is it Santa Claus? Have we really decimated the Iranian regime as much as we’ve been told?
Therefore, I don’t think there’s a choice. The Hormuz Strait has to get back to some sort of normal traffic, and Trump needs a war win. The only way to ensure both is to take the final step and bomb them back into the Stone Age, as Trump has spoken about. Today. This was not a war the was necessary because if Iran being an immediate threat to us. Maybe one day, but isn’t it truer that china, even Pakistan, (a nuclear state) might be a larger threat to us today than Iran?
If he just declares a victory and ends it on his own without something concrete on paper, it’s a hug loss politically and yes, historically. He’ll have to Rain Down Hell if he wants a chance at all to be able to have a legacy at all for posterity.
