The Post That Lost The MidTerm Elections

We’ve all seen it by now. I think you know what I’m referring to: President Trumps screed against some podcasters accusing them of being against him (for years), and falling back to his normal mode of ad hominem attacks referring to each of these as Low IQ because they dare question the reason we went to war with Iran a few weeks ago. Of course, we’re told the reason is because Iran was close to producing a nuclear weapon. Wait! Isn’t the reason we (the USA) along with Israel bombed the heck of of Iran, with special targeting of their nuclear facilities where they were producing the enriched uranium, in June of 2025.

What was it the president said about the effort back then? Well, he said in a Truth Social post that the air strikes were a “spectacular military success” as well as the nuclear facilities were “completely and totally obliterated”. President Trump also said that “Iran will never rebuild their nuclear facilities” and a few days later, at a NATO summit, publicly declared the strikes set Irans nuclear program back “decades”.

Nine months later, we’re attacking a country because they may, at any moment, have the capability of a nuclear weapon, that last summer was “obliterated” , the definition of which is completely destroyed. Wiped out. Nothing left. Were we lied to then, or are we being lied to now? I know that the president tends to ” go off” on those he does not consider allies, but in this case, his judgement is poor. I think something he forgets that it was people, like these, and yes, especially these, that helped him get elected in 2024 after he took the advice of his son Baron, to go on podcasts, the most famous being three hours with Joe Rogan. It was that, as well as other conservative or conservative leaning podcasters that helped convince people to get out and vote. For Trump. They did. He won. You’re welcome?

I think the president’s behavior has become erratic in recent weeks, mainly over this war with Iran. I believe he was poorly advised to enter in this kinetic action with Israel, believing Iran would quickly capitulate, especially after losing control of their skies allowing U.S. and Israeli air forces to bomb with impunity and that, somewhere during that time, there would be Iranians taking to the streets, overthrowing the current regime, bringing to end a 47 year reign of terror not only to the world but to their own people. None of that happened and as far as anyone can tell, nothing is about to occur to vindicate any of that advice.

So sure, Trump’s angry. But he’s loosing his anger on the wrong people. None of those he named in his scree were political enemies, at least as far as I or most others know. But they did, rightly, ask questions about this latest adventure. You can’t promise one thing and do another and not have even your friends ask questions about what you’re doing.

For all of those afraid of losing both houses of Congress this fall: The president may have just ensured the outcome. No one, other than the usual brown noses (you know who they are) are going to risk their reputation on any more of Trump’s MAGA candidates focusing on those that are strictly America First (no, they’re not really the same). And if these same alternative media members focus on other issues, sans the upcoming elections, well, that’s about ti for the Republican Party for at least 2 years and places Trump truly as a lame duck as legislation he wants passed will become dead on arrival. Of course, you, my friends, will get blamed in a future tirade about you failed him.

You don’t have to be prescient to know this.
