When I read John’s post today, it started me thinking, again, about what I consider the bad old past. What I mean by that is just a few years ago, there was such a division between athesits and skeptics that it drove many of us away. It did me, for a while.
Somwthing, over time I found I am unable to do is read anyone elses mind. Strange isn’t it? I have no idea what anyone else is thinking about and neither do they know what I am as well.
Why is it so difficult for some people to understand that were not all from the same cookie cutter? We are all different and have diverse life experiences, but there seem to still e some hanging around, as skeptics, that will not tolerate a difference of opinion, no matter what the subject happens to be.
Every time I watch television, and this may only be a perception on my part, I seem to be bombarded during commercial breaks with pharmaceutical advertising. These are slick commercials and I’ve always found it interesting that say, in the last decade (maybe longer), they’ve made the decision to go directly to the consumer to sell their products.
I’ve been meaning to write about this for a while. Do GMO’s present a danger to humans? I’m not a specialist in this field and I’ve not written about this subject simply because I expect some to criticize me that I have no background here. But I can read, as well as anyone else, and I think it’s time for all of us, to take another look at this controversy, most notably skeptics.
