This may appear strange, and at first glance it does, but it’s more in line with what she’s been saying, especially this election cycle. Yes, Tulsi Gabbard is in Arizona to campaign for Kari Lake, as well as Blake Masters. The polls are close on these 2 even though thry shouldn’t nbe which makes me wonder about the polls. Each of their opponents have either performed poorly im debate, or s Katie Hobbs, refused to debate Lake. Gabbard should be a huge draw for the candidates as election day approaches and populist message will go down well. When a former Democrat begins campaigning for Republicans…

Repeal the 17th Amendment? Maybe
I read a short, interesting story today concerning the repeal of the 17th Amendment. No, slavery won;t be legal, and women will still be able to vote. What would change is how Senator are chosen. Before the 17th Amendment, state legislatures chose those who would represent their state in Washington. It made those Senators beholding to that legislature to keep their seats. That created problems as well in that sometimes it took months, years., for a legislature to agree upon a person to represent their state. Then there are the obvious problems of people trying to buy a seat and all that comes with that. But it doesn’t negate. the advantage that those 2 Senators are tied to the state legislature and not Washington. Think about those Senators we’ve all elected and if they’re (between elections) concerned about their state, or the state of Washington, D.C.?
Where do Stories go When the Media Kills Them?
Remember when we were less concerned about the mid-term elections and more about stories that were affecting lives, like the sudden absence of baby formula on grocery store shelves? Well, although that story has mostly disappeared from the news, it’s still a huge problem across the country. Are babies by the hundreds dying every day due to the created shortage? I think that would be a story if true so it’s easier to say that although parents are struggling with this., it hasn’t become the tragedy the media expected and mayber thsat’s why they’ve dropped it. I mean, if there’s no blood or destruction, then there won’t be any eyes or clicks on the story will there? But since the ?U.S. makes it’s own, we can’t blame other countries for the lack, can we? It could be, as the story linked suggests, a problem with a lack of transportation resources being able to get the product to the stores. But are we saying we’ve lost that many truck drivers since last February?
Ye to Buy Parler. A Social Media Quake in the Making?
The musician, Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is buying Parler, the alternative social media platform to Twitter. This doesn’t seem to be a joke as the parent company of Parler made the announcement earlier today. Of course this is a reaction to Ye being suspended from Twitter for making a supposed anti-Semitic remark and as many have been saying for years, speech should not be throttled simply because someone doesn’t like what another person says. Think about Parler now becoming a challenger to Twitter; Small but up and coming and if Ye knows anything. it’d promotion and how to make money. Expect good things to come gtom this transaction.
Democrats Can’t Get Abortion off Their Minds
For several years now, I’ve always been skeptical about polls on any topic or issue. It seems that the methodology of the poll becomes suspect when sampling is deconstructed only to find that one demographic was sampled at a higher rate than any other. Long term, people have generally lost faith in these surveys and are least surprised when thry turn out to be wrong in every way. It’s easy to tell a pollster one thing and then actually vote the opposite, which seems to be what has been going on for several cycles. Some become stuck on polling issues to attempt to gain ground with voters. Most polls show that the economy, crime, education, immigration, lead what voters are most concerned about with climate change, abortion, and other social issues falling far below. So anyone would think that someone running for office would focus on those issues most important to everyday people, but those people would be wrong. In my state, those top issues listed are less important to Democrats running for office than, say, abortion. In fact, in the Governor and Senate races, here, the television ads presented by the Democratic candidates focus on the extremism of their Republican opponent o that issue while ignoring those issues that real people are talking about. Why? Because it has been democratic polices that have caused inflation and gas prices to soar as well as crime. They have cauased education to sink like a rock. But let’s talk about those evil anti-abortionists. Sorry dems, not this cycle. Try again in 2 years if the economy has improved.
