I saw an article today, from of course a conservative website (hey! i’m a conservative and I peruse those sites!) that described a new museum opening in Washington D.C. No it has nothing to do with atheists, or Muslims, or Hindus. In fact it’s a museum that will perpetuate the falsehood that America is a Judeo- Christian Country.
A little humor for this morning. Last evening I noticed a tweet from an atheist correcting who I assume was a Christian on what the abbrievations B.C. and A.D. meant. It was easy for the Christian to define B.C. as being Before Christ, but the person didn’t seem to have a clue as to what A.D. stood for – at all.
Ever get the impression that when we atheists are speaking that no one is actually listening? I do, all the time and all I have to do is peruse my Twitter timeline to discern this to be a fact. Are the Christians out there really outraged by our blog posts, tweets, and memes?
Sometimes I read something online from an obvious Christian that makes me scratch my head. I sometimes have to read it 2 or 3 times because what I think I initially read is so glaringly stupid, it defies the imagination. Clearly, the person writing believes what they are telling everyone is profound in some way, but to we heathens, at least me, makes absolutely no sense.
I have never really understood the fear and loathing of atheists by Christians. For some odd reason, we’re the perpetual bad guys in everything. We’re the ones that are destroying America. Imagine a tiny percentage of the population having that much power when probably most of the 3.1% that identify as atheist are not activists.
