On occasion, politicians let us know what they really believe. It’s purely by accident but when it happens, we should all take notice.
This quote came from a Hillary Clinton town hall on CNN. Now before someone accuses me of picking on Democrats, I’m not. I would write the same no matter the ideology of the person. This is pretty scary stuff and it should make us all wonder how many of our representatives, again ideology aside, believe something similar.
“We cannot let a minority of people, and that’s what it is, it is a minority of people, hold a viewpoint that terrorizes the majority of people.”
So, holding a viewpoint that is different than whatever majority she’s referring to equates to terrorism. Let me see here: yep, atheists are a minority and hold a different view about the relationship between church and state than the majority so I guess that classifies us as terrorists.
I don’t think she really means that, but it is what she said. I hope she gets grilled by reporters on that statement. Of course, there’ll be all kinds of backtracking. It’s too late, it’s out there.
Maybe Ms. Clinton should shut up while she’s behind?
