It’s disheartening to discover. just how ignorant,lazy, or both, journalists are today. I’m looking at this article from last December that in the first paragraphs shows the writers ignorance between atheists, agnostics, and religiously unaffiliated. They atart by lumping us all together, I think to make some sort of statistical point, but ot fails even high school statistics when the author is unable to discern between completely distinct sets. That alone makes me want to throw out everything else that is claimed in the article.I’m not sure I can do that but I can definitely say that the writer is either confused or just plain stupid. Here’s the Pew Research article where this one came from. A lot of similar language used. Some polls indicate that atheism is growing. It is estimated as much as 5% of the population in the U.S. are atheist, up from 3% a decade ago.
