Ignoring Other People’s Drama

It’s about to go nuclear. No, I’m not referring to the (most likely) future attack by the United States on Iran. I referring to the people, many of whom I used to consider somewhat sensible, even if I didn’t alway agree with them, that have completely lost their minds over a podcaster’s investigation into a very popular right-wing organization and their equally popular, new CEO.

There are many big name hosts that have been going after Candace Owens since she began, a few months ago, her investigation into to assassination of Charlie Kirk, CEO of Turning Point USA. Every week, Candace seemed to discover some new tidbit that she would then talk to her very considerable audience about (literally, millions of views in many cases). The right-wing podcast-o-sphere would lose their minds. Not all, but many, if not most. Even Alex Jones (remember him?) has gone beyond his usual self to attack Candace. This, the guy that lost his privileges on almost every platform because of his “investigations”.

As of late, the Internet has blown up over a two minute trailer from Candace concerning a series she has put together called “The Bride of Charlie”. The online response to just that has been, well, nutty to be sure. Suddenly everyone is coming out of the woodwork referring to Candace as evil and a demon (all from the two minute trailer(?)). Tough Guy and former Deputy Director of the FBI, Dan Bongino, was in actual tears on his show about how evil this was and as a Christian, dropped various forms of the “F” word toward Candace and anyone that would support her. We can call him, and his like (many of those influences who dropped bombs as well), CINO’s. Figure it out.

I haven’t watched the episode, and I’m not sure I ever will. I really am not that interested in Erika Kirk, TPUSA, or anything associated with them. I know there are people that believe the guy awaiting trial for the assassination of Charlie Kirk, is either a patsy, or did not operate alone. We may never known and this assassination will go down in history like JFK, where, sixty-two years after, believe the same about Lee Harvey Oswald. But I think the assassination of a President is different than the CEO of a company (even a politically oriented company). JFK’s death literally altered history (think Vietnam, folks). Did the murder of the UnitedHealthCare CEO, Brian Thompson, affect public policy at all? Even health care?

Ofr course, there’s a rumor (debunked) about influenceera being paid to call Candance names and refer to her as “evil”. Even though there has been a lot of that, it’s coming from a lot of places. Mostly those, like the influencers (at the time) who have not seen the episode and are unable to think for themselves and are therefore easily led.

Personally, I would like to move of this topic as I see it going nowhere for those that only desire some sort of negativity towards another person based on what she believes. Here’s something all these people can do: Ignore it. Of course, there may be people making money off of this by discussing it on their own shows, The more audience they atrract…
