Is it just me or are there a lot more belligerent Christians online recently? It seems like every time I log on to X, I see a few people that want to display for the world to witness what kind of Christian they really are, and not in a negative sense. How often are people bringing up their faith in Jesus almost as if it were exclusive to them. Very occasionally, there’ll be a discussion between a couple of people on who, between the two, is actually a real Christian and who is not (yes, this really happened recently). It makes me wonder if any of these online luminaries practice what they lecture others about.

I’m not making any accusations against others belief. When I see anyone boasting about anything, I often wonder if there’s a reason this person has to make a show in front of everyone. I think in most cases that I’ve seen, it’s a lack of self esteem. So it’s important to wear your Jesus gear, carry your bible, make sure everyone can see the cross/crucifix you never take off (and you make sure others know you never take it off).

I seem to remember though, when I was a Christian, that flaunting your faith in public was a no-no. It’s even in the bible! Matthew 6:1-6 has Jesus speaking about that specifically. Yet, here we are, with people of every color of Christianity trying to prove first, theirs is the best and second, among their peers, they are strong Christians. Those of us that point this out are attacked vociferously, often with epithets /I don’t think you’d hear any of them express in church.

Why is there this sudden uptick in religious-types on X, and I would guess probably pretty much everywhere else on social media platforms? There’s probably more than one reason, but as of current, it has to be due to the current kinetic action we have going with our partner, Israel. It’s Israel all day long in my timeline and if you’re even a little bit questioning the why we are in a conflict that is not ours, then of course, those happily claiming to be Christian Zionists come out from behind the curtain in drives to let you know that you’re going straight to hell.

That may be true, if one believed in fairy tales of the kind that these people proffer to the, well, uneducated, and those that have needs the no one can provide, even church, but they waste their time because they are not taught reality, but hope. And without hope? Then there is nothing but a lot of itinerant preachers wandering the Interstate highways in cheap suits instead of those that have more money than, well, god (your choice).

Even though many of these would like to shut those of us down that question the reasons behind this war – which has never really been adequately explained by any government emissary – they offer nothing to replace the obvious void in their arguments. But the real reason Christians are out in masse on social media lately is the this war in Iran, directly points to the prophesied Second Coming of Jesus. That’s right. Just look at some of the posts in recent days. Of course, just like above, it’s becoming clearer by the moment none read their bible for understanding: Matthew 24:36, Mark 13:32, Acts 1:7.

I think this is a sneak peak into why we’re seeing more online than before. Of course, after the president calls and end, this too, will settle somewhat. Until the next time.
