As the days progress, it appears more and more that president Trump is looking for some way out of the self imposed debacle, commonly known as the Iran war. Remember when he announced the two week ceasefire but threatened utter destruction if Iran attempted to play games? Well, that time has passed and what is America doing? Giving Iran more time while claiming a victory of sorts due to the naval blockade if the Hormuz Strait. For once I actually agree with some of the idiot neocons that are saying it’s time to get it over with

Yes, just finish what you started. Whatever the outcome is, it is and we can say we’ve given them every chance to negotiate, and concede that for Iran, there’s no way out of this but to surrender with some sort of honor. The only other option is to just walk away and pretend nothing happened at all. no more questions from reporters, as the White House staff would be instructed to not answer any questions in relation to Iran. Trump could throw a parade for the military on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington and thank the troops for their bravery, shoot off some fireworks, then call it a day.

I think that’s the most logical outcome right now. The whole adventure will slowly laeave the front pages and not be lede stories in the media and after a while, the memory will slowly fade. no one is going to want to mention it during the midterm elections because for every anti-war commercial one side produces, the other side will characterize their opposition as traitors and that’s why we didn’t conquer our enemy. The real reason of course will be apathy. No one cares much as long as U.S. lives are not at risk. Currently, there is none. so, a quiet exit while claiming victory and rtht we accomplished what we went there to do intitlly, will be what’s written in the history books. At least for a while.
