I often wonder if people that make certain claims concerning other people have ever stopped to look in the mirror? It’s especially interesting to me when the person(s) making the claims (or accusations) don’t even know the people they are referring to and it doesn’t seem to bother them in the least that their attitude might be a little hypocritical.
I see this behavior recently with those if the Christian persuasion. Some of those people, at least online, come across as being better than other people even to the extent of proclaiming whether or not someone is a real Christian. There must be some pretty heavy discernment going on there for anyone to be able to make that judgement. There seem to be a lot of these people currently online and many, not all, but many, are fairly nasty in their view of anyone that does not share their belief. I
I would be happy to try and understand their belief, if they were able to do anything else than spew invective towards people they don’t know and haven’t even met. They think they know what some other person thinks or believes based on some online video, or even a blog like this one.
Well. I’m easy to discern for you because I’m an atheist and couldn’t care less what you think about me or that state of some non-existent soul. That’s right, bubba, and bub-ette, you’re going to be worm food just like everybody else and you won’t be seeing Jesus once your neurons stop firing. Don’t believe me? Read your own holy text. What does Paul say in 1 Thessalonians, and again inn 2 Thessalonians about “those that have fallen asleep”? Remember, he was a Jew. During his time, before his death around 64 CE, “Christian” was not an appellation he would’ve had probably had been familiar. No heavenly appearance before the throne. Nothing. You won’t even realize it.
Instead of pretending you’re better than everyone else, try having a little compassion for others and save your anger for those that deserve it: Like most of your friends.
