There Are Real Issues We Need to Deal With

I had been hoping this media created issue of transgenderism had finally run its course and that as time went on, we;d be hearing less and less about a minority, that doesn’t actually exist. when I say it doesn’t exist, I’m not implying there are no people that suffer from the mental disorder of gender dysphoria as recognized by the DSM-5(Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental disorders). My issue is that somehow, the very small number of diagnoses in the United States classifies these people as a minority.

When I think of minorities, I think of racial or ethnic groups of people, not those that may have been diagnosed with some sort of mental disorder. If that were so, should be be out in the streets protesting for bi-polar or schizophrenic rights? I mean, those are people as well and I’d almost bet there are more in either one of those diagnoses than gender dysphoric. Why? How many people have you ment to known in your life that have been medically diagnosed with gender dysphoria? Now think about those that have been diagnosed with just depression or anxiety and add in the bi-polar and schizophrenic. Greater than zero? for me it is and I’d bet it is for most people.

I even cheated and asked Grok (the AI owned by Elon Musk). this is how poor AI technology is and why we shouldn’t be de[endent n to for, well, anything other than maybe kitchen recipes and that’s just a maybe. the first time I asked, the programmatic response was that there were somewhere between 17,000 and 35,000 people in the U.S. diagnosed with this disorder. The next time, it seems to couldn’t find what it had told me just 3 days before. I tend to believe that number though because I have never met anyone n my life that has ever claimed to have known anyone with gender dysphoria, yet can say for a fact that other mental disorders seem to be more common on the population (ike depression and anxiety). Let me just ask this: How many people do you know right now that are on, or have been on, some medication for depression or anxiety? Fewer, I think, would be schizophrenics and bi-polar, but that’s actually a guess on my part.

But what I really want to know is what people are protesting about when they refer to Trans Rights? What rights do the remainder of the population have than diagnosed gender dysphoric people not have? Please leave me a list in the comments because I can’t think of a single right as an American I have that every other American doesn’t have as well. When the Founding Fathers were composing the Bill of Rights, I am certain they didn’t include “These rights are for all people expect for those that have diagnosed mental disorders”.

And none of this is a problem, other than the media looking to stir people up and get clicks online or viewers on T.V. You’re born either male or female, with a very tiny number born as intersex(between 1 in 2,000 and 1 in 4,500 yes, I know…). So, that makes the problem of gender dysphoria a non-issue and the solution not a solution whatsoever. It’s just recognizing biology. That’s where the state’s responsibility ends. And there should not be any further public discussion of this subject unless we want to add in all of those afflicted with those various mental disorders, only some mentioned here. Maybe we, as a society, need to address mental disorders simply because there needs to be a policy or set of policies (health) that may be developed to address any problems we, society, have in assisting those with these disorders.
