Anyone peruse YouTubewith any regularity? I know a lot of people that do and it’s not just because they have a lot of How to and DIY videos there for almost any task you can think of. but a lot of videos of people posting their lives, some of it interesting, some not. I just started watching regularly a few months ago and I instantly found a couple of shows that I do watch every Sunday: Each show is a young woman renovating a house, mostly by themselves. But that’s just 2 of, I don’t know how many. I watched an entire series of a guy building a small cabin on some property up north. From nothing, to a livable, off grid, cabin.

But mostly what. I look for is news about Ukraine and Iran as it seems our domestic news media doesn’t regularly report on the goings on unless there’s some sort of bloodbath (If it bleeds, it leads). Of course, I have to be careful and filter out what is out and out propaganda to what at least appears to be genuine information. I think I’m getting better at that after a few months and, especially in Ukraine, things do not seem to be going very well for Russia. Why is it we hear very little about this, the largest European land war since World War II? I’m not much of a conspiracist, but is our government (the media have become complicit with the government instead of being watchdogs) hiding something from us because they don’t like what the outcome might actually be in the near future?

I can’t be sure of anything anymore when it comes to what the media spews at me daily. Or trys to spew. It does look like there’s plenty of content online that I can sift through, without much trouble, and find the truth that I’m looking for. That‘s unfortunate for our domestic media, that they can no longer be trusted to be the watchdogs of government and that they’re losing viewership on a daily basis. To the Internet.
